IN SOCIETY
The wedding of Miss Estella Elizabeth Davis to Mr. Ralph I. Montgomery was solomnized Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Harrison. The rooms were very effectively decorated with ropes of evergreen which were fastened from the four corners of the room to the chandelier. In the center there the lights were softened by the use of pink shades. In the center of the archways of the doors were hung white bells, and forming a lattice on either side of the bells were pink ribbons. In the living room the bay window in which the ceremony took place was embanked with palms and maidenhair ferns on each side forming an archway were white pedestal baskets, filled with trailing ferns and pink and white roses. Just as Miss Beulah Beebe finished singing ÒBe MineÓ, Miss Naomi Crag as maid of honor led the wedding procession, followed by little Miss Gladys Barton as ring bearer and the bride accompanied by her father O.H. Davis. They were met at the altar by the groom, his brother Homer Montgomery and Rev. Wickman. Mrs. Ed Short played Lohengren's Wedding March, and throughout the ceremony she played ÒI Love You TrulyÓ.
The bride wore a becoming gown of made of white charmouse made with a tunic which was edged with white fur. Her veil was made of lace with silver threads woven through it. She carried a bouquet o fbride's roses with a shower of lilies of the valley. Miss Gray wore a dress of white satin with an overdrapery of pink silk net, and carried a bouquet of white carnations.
Miss Gladys Barton wore a pretty dress of white embroidery with a large butterfly of pink maline on the back and pink hair bows. She carried the ring in a white basket on the handle of which was poised a pink butterfly, and in the center of the basket was a single white rose containing the ring.
The guests were received by Mrs. G.W. Coffrey, and assisting in the dining room were Miss Lida Shron and Miss Lois Warholm.
After the ceremony, the bride gave her bouquet to her grandmother.
There were about fifty guests.
